C-41 Color Film Developer

Cold Water ( ~20ºC ) CAS # 7732-18-5 400 ml
add and dissolve
Potassium Carbonate CAS # 584-08-7 16.0 grams
Sodium Sulfite ( Anhydrous ) CAS # 7757-83-7 1.75 grams
Potassium Bromide ( Anhydrous ) CAS # 7758-02-3 0.75 grams
Hydroxylamine Sulfate CAS # 10039-54-0 1.0 gram
Kodak CD-4 Color Developer
4-(N-Ethyl-N-2-hydroxyethyl)-2-methylphenylenediamine sulfate
CAS # 25646-77-9 2.5 grams
then add
Cold Water ( ~20ºC ) CAS # 7732-18-5 To make 500 ml


Temperature is very critical to C-41 Color Film Development. Use a water bath to bring this solution up to the required 38ºC and have your film loaded development tank temperature stabilize with at least 5 minutes in the water bath ( Obviously dry ) prior to development.

The Development time is 3 Minutes and 15 Seconds at 38ºC.

Immediately follow development with any standard film Stop Bath.
